Spring Cleaning - Part 2 ~ Sewing

Alright everyone, today we're going to teach you how to make the mob cap!

Large sheet of paper
1/4 yard fabric

Using the compass, draw a circle with a radius of 5 inches on the piece of paper. Cut it out and pin to fabric. Cut circle out of fabric. (Sorry there's no picture of all this, I forgot to take photos)

Fold fabric edge in towards center 1/4 inch. (The hem does not have to be even, once the cap is gathered no one will notice.) Iron. (In this pic I already sewed it, but you get the idea :) )

Sew hem.

(Once again, I'm really sorry that I forgot to take photos :/)  Using a long stitch, sew 1 inch away from the edge, and then 1/4 inch away from that line of stitching. Do not backstitch.

Gather cap a little, then place on doll's head and gather until it fits.

Tie the ends of the thread (the ones that go together) with a double knot and cut loose ends.
Congratulations, your cap is finished! Pretty simple, isn't it? Sorry again about the lack of photos. :)

I know you love comments, and so do I; so please take a few seconds and say something! However, if you can't say anything nice (or appropriate, no foul language!), don't say anything at all. :)
